She tells of her grandfather’s settling in Newtown; the farming lifestyle; the hired hands who lived with her family; the one-room schoolhouse she attended in 1936; being in the first class to allow girls in the Vocational Agriculture program; working the land; the crops; the exhibits she made for the Danbury Fair; and the challenges of farm ownership in the 21st century.
